The smaller 38mm Speedmaster takes an 18mm strap, and the larger 44.25mm racing and Dark Side of the Moon models run to 21mm or 22mm. Unlike a Submariner or GMT-Master II, the Speedmaster's lugs are flat and straight rather than curved, so it happily accepts a standard straight-end strap without any gap at the case.
